The beach stretches to the nearby fishing village of Clogherhead and its Port Oriel harbour. Within easy reach of the M1 motorway, it is accessible to Dublin Airport (25 miles) and Dublin City (30 miles) southwards and the Cooley Mountains and Carlingford Coast travelling northwards.
